How can I get training or support?

Oftentimes people ask about getting training because they are used to other complex applications that require a great deal of training before you can even get started. We've designed Planning Center with simplicity in mind, so that anyone can can figure most things out pretty easily on their own. 

In addition, there's no need to schedule a demo or sales consultation just to try it for yourself. All of our applications come with a 30-day free trial that you can activate on your own and instantly start using.

That said, even though our applications are designed to be as simple as possible, they also pack a lot of power, and training can help you get the most of your subscription. One of the reasons Planning Center applications are so affordable, is that instead of hiring a huge staff to be able to train tens of thousands of churches around the world, we focus on providing training materials and courses than can scale and be used by many people at once.

Help Center & Email

At the top right of every Planning Center application is a ? that links directly to our Help Center. You can search for any question, browse our lessons (many of which include videos), or email our support team who generally answer within one business hour.

Even if you haven't signed up yet, you can browse our entire help site to see what we have to offer. First go to our General Help Center and either browse our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) or choose one of our applications to see the documentation for that specific app.

Planning Center University

PCUThree times a year we offer a full-day course on all Planning Center applications called Planning Center University (PCU). We host PCU at our offices in Carlsbad, CA (north of San Diego), and charge a small amount to attend in person. After the event, we post videos of each session for anyone to view for free at any time.

Phone Support

We do offer limited phone support but usually as a last resort. One of the ways we keep our prices low is by keeping our team small. Most of the time, email support is more efficient for a couple of reason.

  1. We can easily send links to articles, images, and videos that can show you something more clearly than we can just tell you.
  2. When you email us through our Help Center, we get a lot of important information about your account along with the email that is often the key ingredient to answering your specific question quickly.
  3. It's often necessary for us to do a little digging and see exactly what you are seeing, even handing the question of to a different support agent with more expertise in a specific area. 

That said, there are times when email is no longer adequate or emergencies that need an immediate resolution. For those times you can locate our phone number for each application in the Help Center box at the top right of any Planning Center app.
